Tangent Wave Element Panels Now Shipping

Ever since we got a glimpse of it at IBC, we've been pretty excited about Tangent Wave's Element control panel. Maybe it's all the hotrod red, maybe it's the ultra-modular design, maybe it's the charmingly low price point - whatever it is, we like.

Pricing

Happily, the four Element modules are now shipping, and Tangent have begun accepting orders. The four modules available are the main three trackball panel (the £795 Tk), a panel with 12 programmable knobs (the £595 Kb), one with 12 programmable buttons (the £450 Bt), and one with the buttons plus a trackball that can double up as a jog wheel, and standard transport controls (the £725 Mf).

Compatibility

The panel is currently qualified for use with Assimilate SCRATCH, Colorfront On-Set Dailies and Yo Yotta YoYo, with Apple Color, Mistika, Cintel Colorflow and more to follow. While Tangent "certainly hope that support for the Element panels will be incorporated into Resolve at some point" according to Operations Director Andy Knox, they "haven't received any confirmation from Blackmagic Design if or when this will happen."
