Pick of the plug-ins for January

It might still be early days, but there's certainly been some interesting updates from the world of broadcast plug-ins so far in 2012. We've picked out a couple of our best from Boris and FxFactory...

Boris FX were pretty quick out of the traps, announcing a giveaway as soon as most people were back from the holidays. A selection of 40 compositions are now available to download free for any Boris Continuum Complete 8 AE users, with 3D particle effects, organic design elements and light effects to add to their After Effects workflow. They're available to download here.

There was good news from Noise Industries too, as they introduced the latest version of their FxFactory effects plug-in. Fans of the software will notice the major change being FxFactory 3.0's complete interface overhaul since the last release, but there are also plenty of new effects on offer here. FCPX users will also be happy to know there's now more solid support in FxFactory 3.0, with 145 of the total 176 filters, generators and transitions available in the latest version of Apple's NLE.
