More AJA news: KONA and Io support Avid

Still reeling from the news of Avid Media Composer 6? AJA wasted no such time, quickly developing a new firmware update that will let its KONA cards and Io interfaces support MC 6, Symphony 6 and Newscutter 10.

The 10.1 driver will let any KONA 3G, 3, LHi and even the only just recently shipping LHe Plus support Media Composer 6. It will also allow the Io Express and Io XT (when we finally see it) to support your post-production workflow.

AJA's new v10.0.1 driver software for Mac and PC, and AJA Open I/O Plug-ins, are available now from AJA's support page. They also include a handy readme document that explains using AJA products with Avid, and how to setup the new firmware. They say: "It is important to install the Avid application first, then the AJA drivers, and then install the AJA Open I/O plug-ins. Note: if the AJA driver or Open I/O Plug In is installed before the Avid software, the Avid software may not be able to identify the AJA product for use from within the application."
