BVE 2012: Blackmagic Design on Thunderbolt and ATEM

Wondering what Blackmagic Design will be up to at BVE? Sadly, the answer's not "telling us when the Intensity Extreme will be shipping," but they do have a great range of products on display, including DaVInci Resolve and the range of ATEM production switchers they picked up when they acquired Echolab last year.

"The ATEM range is extensive, ranging from the Television Studio to the 1M/E and the 2M/E," explained Blackmagic Design's Stuart Mackey. "Really they vary depending on the number of inputs and outputs that you want. Other exciting products that we've got include DaVinci Resolve. It's really captured people's imaginations with what they can do with colour correction; [they're] able to work in a non-linear environment and able to work with multiple formats."

Despite what Stuart says in the video, we don't actually have Resolve on our stand this year. We do, however, have our Solutions Architect Jamie Allan and DaVinci Consultant Gerry Vickers dispensing all manner of colour correction advice, along with a selection of BMD's Thunderbolt devices.
