Thunderbolt demos are all the rage at this year's BVE. One of the more interesting was AJA's setup, which linked their Thunderbolt-capable Io XT I/O box and a Pegasus R4 to a Mac notebook that was playing back 4K footage.

"The Io XT is a superset of our Io Express product," explained AJA's man on ground, Matt Causon. "What's very unique about this as an I/O box is that we've got Thunderbolt through, which is by far the better type of technology to have. This allows you to hot swap devices and means you can sit this box anywhere in the chain."

Other key features include dual link/HD/SD-SDI and 10-bit up, down and cross-conversion. If you'd like to see and Io XT in action, drop by stand i32 for a demo from our team.
